Welcome to the HikingPA community! We’re glad you’re here. To ensure this remains a supportive, safe, and helpful environment for all outdoor enthusiasts, we ask that you follow these guidelines when interacting in comments, forums, or social media groups.

1. Leave No Trace

Both on the trail and online. Promote responsible hiking practices, respect wildlife, and do not share sensitive locations of fragile ecosystems that cannot handle heavy foot traffic.

2. Be Respectful

Treat others with kindness. Harassment, hate speech, bullying, or personal attacks will absolutely not be tolerated. We welcome hikers of all skill levels, backgrounds, and identities.

3. Keep It Relevant

Stay on topic. Discussions should revolve around hiking, backpacking, camping, and outdoor recreation in Pennsylvania and the immediately surrounding areas.

4. No Self-Promotion or Spam

Do not use the HikingPA platforms solely to promote your own business, YouTube channel, or products without prior approval.

5. Share Accurate Information

When offering trail advice or conditions, ensure your information is as accurate and current as possible. Trail conditions change rapidly; mentioning the date of your experience is always helpful.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in comment removal or bans from the community platforms.
